Better late than never

Thought I'd share some of the excitement from our trip to the art show. 

We had such a great time finding out art and admiring the hundreds of pieces from our South Portland School friends. 

The talent of our art teachers and students is astounding.

This visit was amazing! We were so completely engaged and had a blast during our time with Mr. Nash. What an inspiration he is!

Very cool. Check out how this same character went from baby to mature adult  just by starting the eyes below the half way point and above the half way point on the paper.

It's almost time for our second grade production. 

Our second grade musical "Welcome to the Jungle" will release for the school community on Monday, June 8th at 2:00 and an evening performance on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:30 for families and friends. 

The show is approximately 45 minutes long. 

This group of second graders sound beautiful!! We can't wait to see you there. 

Another fun week!

We had a great time in second grade last week and are ready for another! 

Greeting one another in new and different ways each morning is one of the great ways we start our day in our responsive classroom setting. 

Playing a variety of math games to help reinforce a new idea and practice. Here we are playing Roll-A-Square to reinforce computation skills and following directions. 

Of course there's always time for friends to be silly too! Here our friends are being silly in our "chill out chair". 😊

We work so hard each day that it is important to fit movements into our door. Yes, even when it's nice enough to get outside each day, we use GoNoodle every day and even a couple of times each day to get our bodies to keep our brain working.
